1843-1881, selection of fifteen items, including 1843-50, six entire letters ex the same correspondence to Kirby Lonsdale, franked 1d. and with undated circles of Dent, Hornby Lanc., Pool, St. Agnes, Sedbergh and Wray, 1845 printed stampless Tithe communication with "Dent/Penny Post" and red Lancaster d.s. with mileage deleted, "turned" and franked 1d., 1846 entire franked 1d. with "Leadenhall St." alongside (3 years earlier than recorded by Jay) 1849 entire with blue "Fleet St." on reverse (one year earlier than recorded by Jay), 1850 entire with blue Ulverston traveller on reverse, 1851 entire franked 1d. and endorsed "Please deliver early" at lower left, 1881 two pieces of stationery (headed "J" and "P" respecively) with identical messages to their uncle regarding their progress learning English, with covering envelope from Gray to Versailles, etc., chiefly fine and an interesting group
