1821 (6 Nov.), entire letter to Providence R.I., datelined Ship Patterson off the start point of the English Channel, with fine framed step type "kingsbridge/ship letter" (Robertson S.1), red New York arrival (30.12) and "ship" in the same colour; 1844 (24 Aug.) entire letter from Jerez to London, with "b.c./cadiz" in oval handstamp, endorsed 4oz and £1.1.8, on reverse red London arrival (2.9) and the rate confirmed 1.1.8; fine. A rare 10 times rate entire letter, the normal rate would have been 2/2d.; 1846 (5 Jan.) entire letter from New York to Norway, via London, on reverse octagonal "26 ja 1846/liverpool/ship", forwarded via Hamburg (Winter months rate) with an interesting range of rate markings; filing fold and some ink burning to the address; all fine and scarce. Each with J. Van Der Linden Certificate (2010 or 2011)
