#167var, 1921-26 4c Brown, bisect, tied by "(Ar)gy Mauritius B 7 De 26" c.d.s. cancel repeated below to petite envelope from Argy to Port Louis with same day backstamp receiver. The use of bisects was never authorized in Mauritius and whilst the inland letter rate was reduced to 5c in 1925 a 2c rate makes no sense whatsoever this one apparently got through unnoticed. Two other bisects are mentioned in Ibbotson, a great curiosity, very fine.
