#O1, 1840 1p Black, "V.R." Official, a handsome appearing mint example of this rarity, with ample to large margins all around, strong color and a crisp impression on bright paper, uncommonly fresh, with full original gum, trivial light h.r., pressed-out horizontal crease which is not visible on the face, very fine appearance; mint examples of the "VR" Official are seldom encountered with full original gum; signed "AD" (Diena) and accompanied by 1974 Diena and 2015 RPS certificates (S.G. #V1; £32,000).
