1930 Passport issued by the Kingdom of Hejaz & Nejd and Dependencies to the wife of His Excellency the Prince Shakib Arslan, the secretary of the Islamic Conference held in Geneva. She travelled to Switzerland and Italy several times, Palestine with British Consular Service stamps, Egypt, Lebanon. There are also two papers which request the renewal of passports for the Prince Shakib Arslan and his son Ghalib, from the Saudi authorities. A typed copy of a letter from the Prince to Marshal Petain about the state of affairs in the French territories of Syria and Lebanon. A fabulous and rare group. Photo
Shakib Arslan (1869-1946) was a Druze prince (amir) from Lebanon, in addition to being a politician, he was also an influential writer, poet and historian.
