1873 (December) a highly attractive illuminated sheet (46x62 cm) headed "Sultan of exalted Dignity whom God preserve" and proceeds to offer their congratulations to the Sultan's accession to the thrown and is signed by the Lord Mayor of London, the sheriff of London, several aldermen and others. Also two similar size documents to The Great Governors of Tangiers and Mogador informing them that General Seager had been appointed to present their congratulations to the Imperial Majesty's the Emperor of Morocco. Also two supporting documents, one signed by John Richard Summers Vine that he witnessed the signatures on the previous document, also signed by the Lord Mayor with Justice Room 1/6d. revenue and impressed general duty 2/6d., and another document signed by Andrew Lusk, the Lord Mayor with the Mayor's seal. A few minor age marks do not detract from a delightful set of documents. Photo
