Abbas II of Egypt
1879-1914 a large collection of letter to Abbas from the time he was Prince to when he was Khedive. They include many letters from his sisters at Ras el-Tin Palace and other residences including 'Niemat', 'Hatidgia' (Princess Hadice Hanim), a letter from his mother, Emina Iihamy, many letters from the Secretariat of the Khedive and other including letter from Juliette Adam (5, 1902-06), 1913 poison pen letter from Colombo requesting the massacre of all Europeans, etc. in Colombo; also some photographs and personal note books or other effects including 1904 Thomas Cooks book of two sets of International Travelling Tickets. A magnificent selection which would repay further study, some are with their original envelopes. (108 letters)
