Prince Albert Victor Christian Edward
1883 autograph letter written from Sandringham on headed notepaper incorporating his initials "AVCE" to "Millie" thanking her for "... the pretty card you sent me. Hope you will have a happy Xmas. I also send you a little card in return which I hope you will like. I hope your poor father is better and has not got a great cold. My sisters and Charlotte send you their loves and with kind remembrances to your husband, Ever yours very truly, Eddy". Two vertical bends or crease and two pin holes. Photo
Prince Albert Victor Christian Edward "Prince Eddy" (1864-92) the eldest son of the future King Edward V11 and Queen Alexandra. The 17 year old Prince had just finished his time at sea with his younger brother Prince George. In 1892 he announced his engagement to Princess Victoria Mary of Teck, but died very suddenly shortly thereafter. She subsequently married Prince George and they ascended the throne in 1910 as King George V and Queen Mary.
