William III (1694-1702), Five-Guineas, 1699 gvlielmvs. iii. dei. gra, first laureate bust right, elephant and castle below, toothed border both sides, rev. inverted die axis, mag. br. fra. et hib. rex., four crowned shields cruciform, six strings to Irish harp, sceptres in angles, arms of Orange Nassau in centre, edge with inverted raised letters, .+. decvs . et. tvtamen. anno. regni. undecimo (MCE 170; Schneider 479; S.3455), an exceptinal example, a light mark on king's cheek, otherwise extremely fine and with some lustre, very rare thus
