Edward IV (first reign 1461-70), Ryal or Rose Noble, 7.59g, London, ed: ward' di' gra'. rex. angl .z. franc dns. i. b., king in ship, holding sword and shield, rose on side, flag at stern, rev. i.m. cross fitchée, ihc'. avt'. transiens'. per. medvm. illorvm. i.bat, large radiate sun on floriate cross, in tressure of eight arcs, crowned leopards in angles, small trefoils in spandrels, rose in centre (B&W type X; N.1549; Schneider -; S.1951), slightly creased and small flan split at edge, almost very fine, scarce with long cross fitchée
