1814 (17 Dec.) entire with contents, from Burwalla to Edinburgh, with rare "london/ship letter/20 jan 15" (Robertson S.32) handstamp, framed "Addl./½" and red arrival datestamp (25.1), interesting contents including "... A division of the Bengal Army under the command of General Gillespie... has been defeated in a mad attempt to storm Kullingan, a fort in the valley of Doorah. General Gillespie was killed as well as many officers... William Framer Esq. supposed to be the Company's political agent was severely wounded.
