Tientsin: 1891 (24 Mar.) envelope to Germany bearing, on the reverse, a fair strike of "customs/tientsin" c.d.s. with Shanghai Customs, Hong Kong and Berlin arrival; the address side with Hong Kong 7c. on 10c. tied by Shanghai c.d.s. (27/3) and thin orange crayon; roughly opened with part of the top of the envelope missing. An appealing example of the short-lived 7c. rate to Europe. Photo
