1904 (Feb.) illustrated envelope of flying geese, addressed to Mount Vernon, New York, bearing pair of 5c. reddish orange tied by a fair strike of the large, double-circle "i.p.o. - r.m.s./Peking/Shanhaikwan/no.1" railway cancellation, the reverse with Shanghai bilingual c.d.s. (25.2), Shanghai I.J.P.O. c.d.s. (27.2) and Tacoma, Wash. (21.3) datestamps; light soiling still a collectable example of this popular postmark. Photo
