A large range of covers ex the Leask correspondence to Wolmaransstad or Klerksdorp, comprising items from the Cape (58, many censored, one with paper label with manuscript "Opened under Martial law"), Transvaal (11, one bearing G.B. 1d. with Klerksdorp c.d.s.), British Army/Field Post Offices (4), and U.K. (40, mostly from Stromness), nearly all censored, Army Telegraph envelopes (9, two with "wd" code c.d.s.), registered letter receipts (10), and later items (14); also 1895 (2) and 1900 (2) envelopes bearing various Transvaal adhesives with double-ring datestamps. Condition a little mixed in places though a fascinating group from this famous correspondence with some still remaining in the family scrap book
