The HongKong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, $5, 'Specimen', 1940, with an addition coloumn of serial numbers, similar to that of duress notes, brown and multicoloured, reclining maiden at right, coat of arms centrally and watermark of Minerva at left, reverse brown, old HSBC building at centre, this note also comes with the original Bradbury Wilkinson envelope and dated '17.4.1940',
(Pick173cs), very fine, with printer's annotations and previously mounted. It is interesting to see the 'duress' serial numbers on the 1940 notes before the Japanese Occupation
