Major-General Francois-Louis Damman, (1803-60), Commanded the 2nd Brigade, 4th (Brabant) Division, Belgian Army, and was awarded the Portuguese Order of Christ for 'meritorious and gallant services rendered to His Majesty the King of Portugal', July 1836.
