Captain Samuel Edwin Bower, enlisted in the Royal Engineers and served during the Great War on the Western Front from 10.3.1917; Commissioned Lieutenant, Royal Engineers, 13.11.1917; served during the Second World War with Army Cadet Force, Territorial Army General List; promoted Captain, 18.3.1946.
