British War and Victory Medals (39305 Pte. R.W. Perkins. The Queen's R.), extremely fine, with the recipient's Great War Bronze Memorial Plaque (Raymond Perkins); two portrait photographs; and the recipient's British United Order of Odd Fellows Executive Council badge of office, mounted for neck wear on embroidered riband (2)

39305 Private Raymond William Perkins, born Clerkenwell, Middlesex, February 1861; served with the Royal West Surrey Regiment and later the 7th Battalion Royal Fusiliers during the Great War on the Western Front; killed in action 23.4.1917, during the Battle of the Scarpe, the 7th Battalion were engaged in the Capture of Gavrelle, 'The 190th Brigade captured the first objective, but the 7/Royal Fusiliers, held up by uncut wire and fire from the open left flank, made only a small lodgement in it', and is commemorated upon the Arras Memorial, France.
