2097 Trooper James Barrett, born Cornwall, 1875; enlisted in the 2nd Life Guards, October 1897; served with the Regiment in South Africa, December 1899 to November 1900 and January 1901 to August 1902; discharged, 20.10.1909, after 12 years with the Colours.
