2115 Trooper Henry Carter, born Bristol, 1875; enlisted in the 2nd Life Guards, January 1898; served with the Regiment in South Africa, February to November 1900; promoted Corporal, 5.5.1904; discharged, 4.11.1904, after 6 years and 306 days with the Colours.
