#73d, 2c Black, vertical half used as 1c as part of 3c rate on cover, the left vertical half, affixed slightly overlapping an entire stamp (natural s.e. at right) on buff cover with pencil "Anderson Va./Oct 1" postmark, stamps both cancelled by identical ms. strokes, ink stroke at bottom probably added as it does not match, fine; apparently this cover received a "no opinion" from the PF (certificate no present), so offered on its own merits.
