1895 (1 Feb.) small envelope to the Telegraphs Office at Cape Coast, bearing 1884-91 1d. carmine-rose cancelled with fine "appam/gold coast" Code A c.d.s. (Type 5) with a further superb strike alongside, the reverse with Cape Coast double-ring d.s. (Type 6, 2.2); the envelope with some faults though an unusual item of internal mail, and 1898 (19 Oct.) envelope to England, bearing 1884-91 2½d. ultramarine and orange neatly cancelled with "secondee" Code C c.d.s. (Type 2) with a further strike at left partially over-cancelled with superb framed "too late" (Type H1), Paid Liverpool Br. Packet c.d.s. ( 21.11) at left, Cape Coast Type 6 c.d.s. (23.11) on reverse; the envelope a little roughly opened at top, otherwise fine
