1900 (11 Apr.) unstamped envelope from A Miller "On Board Transport Monterey as Sea No Stamps Procurable" to Ottawa, however posted on arrival with "On Board" notation crossed through and replaced by "Active Service" and with a light strike of the oval-framed "canadian contingent/south africa" datestamp, Ottawa c.d.s. (7.5) on reverse
