1900 (9 July) Cape 1d. letter card front, used as a card and uprated with O.F.S. 2½d. on 3d. and Transvaal 1d., from A.G. Uniaacke on line of communication duty at Vereeniging, Transvaal to England, cancelled by F.P.O.B.O. c.d.s. and showing a good strike of the oval-framed "canadian contingent/south africa" datestamp, arrival c.d.s. (27.7) on reverse. One of the few occasions the contingent cachet is found on non-Canadian mail. Photo
