1900 (10 July) Y.M.C.A. "crossed flags" envelope (Type E), complete with letter, from J.H. Wilson at Springs, Transvaal to New Brunswick, showing large part F.P.O. 30 c.d.s. and generally fine oval-framed "canadian contingent/south africa" datestamp (16.7) in lilac struck across flags; the letter including reference to DE Wet "getting some of our mail" and "our regiment is not very strong only 200 fit for duty" and an account of the battle of Doornkop.
