1900 (16 June) unstamped envelope from Lt. F.C. Jones of "G" Company at Springs, Transvaal, to New Brunswick, marked "No stamps available" and showing F.P.O. c.d.s. and light largely fine oval-framed "canadian contingent/south africa" datestamp (18.6) in lilac, arrival c.d.s. (18.7) on reverse; an interesting cover from Lt. Jones who received the first white flag of surrender at the battle of Paardeberg
