1869 (4 Sept.) stampless entire letter ex Pastre Freres correspondence to London, marked "p. Mindingo", showing Lagos code B c.d.s. and, on reverse, London arrival d.s. (29.9) and 1870 (1 Jan.) similar entire letter, marked "p. Biafia", showing scarce "post office lagos/west coast of africa" double-ring d.s. in blue, the reverse with London arrival (27.1); both refolded and the latter with staining, otherwise fine. Photo
