London and North Western Railway Company, a collection of 14 certificates including; consolidated 4% guaranteed stock, 18[81], no.5087, green; 3% perpetual debenture stock, 190[2], no.24120, red; consolidated stock, 19[10], no.99079, black; consolidated 4% preference stock, 19[15], no.11678, red; various consolidated stock certificates, 1840's and 50's, and other documents, most are cancelled, mixed condition, some with glue residue, many very fine. The company was incorporated in 1846 as an amalgamation of a number of existing railways, including the London and Birmingham, the Grand Junction and the Manchester and Birmingham Railways. It's share capital once amalgamated with others exceeded £17,000,000.
