Treasury Warrant, July 1679 instructing the Auditor of the Receipt to draw an Order for payment of £20.3.7d owing for quarters incurred by part of Prince Rupert's regiment, signed by the First Lord of the Treasury, Lawrence Hyde (later Earl of Rochester) and brother in law of James II, Sir Edward Dering, a Lord of the Treasury and Sir John Ernle, Chancellor of the Exchequer, black printing, manuscript insertions, folio, right edge somewhat browned and brittle with some paper loss but otherwise complete and without the usual trimming, fine and rare for a Treasury warrant of this age to be printed and not handwritten.
