1897 (16 Mar.) envelope to Liverpool, bearing 1897 "2½d." (S.G. Type 12) on 6d. dull purple and green neatly cancelled with Freetown c.d.s., Paid Liverpool Br. Packet c.d.s. (6.4) at left; the envelope with a couple of ink blobs clear of the adhesive and the reverse with flap and seal missing, nevertheless a scarce stamp with only one example represented in the setting of thirty, and very rare on cover.
