1867-78 envelopes (4, three long) addressed internally and franked at 2d. or 4d., comprising items from Brisbane, Burdekin, Ipswich and Maryborough (the stamps unusually cancelled by c.d.s.), 1861 (27 Apr.) envelope from Banana (five months earlier than the opening date recorded by Campbell) to New South Wales bearing 6d. cancelled "24" and with a range of transit c.d.s. on reverse, and 1873 (2 Dec.) envelope from Brisbane to Hunter River, New South Wales, bearing 1868-78 perf. 13 3d. brown indistinctly cancelled and with despatch c.d.s. alongside, Sydney and Branston (7.12) c.d.s. on reverse, a scarce 3d. rate franking; faults in places though an interesting group
