1872 (23 Dec.) envelope from Charlotte Town to Scotland, bearing perf 12¼ 6c. black paying the single letter rate to U.K., cancelled by five-pointed Star (Type P130), showing despatch datestamp and red "paid/liverpool/br. packet" transit datestamp (24.1) with arrival c.d.s. on reverse; the top right of envelope and the 6c. torn through opening and the 6c. additionally crossed by light crease.
