4d. brown with just clear to large margins all round (small fault at lower right corner) neatly cancelled with "gambia/b/paid" c.d.s. on 1882 (22 Mar.) envelope from Bathurst "Per Stretha" to Auburndale, Mass., U.S.A., "3" accountancy mark in red crayon, showing a further superb strike of the despatch c.d.s. at left and, on reverse, London (11.4), New York Paid All (22.4) and arrival (24.4) c.d.s.
