Bermuda Government issue, a set of printer's archival photographs for a proposed issue of currency comprising an obverse and reverse $5, Saint David's lighthouse at centre, $10, a cahow (Bermuda petrel) at centre, $20, Somerset Bridge and tern at centre, all arms of Bermuda 'QUO FATA FERUNT' at centre, also $50, map of Bermuda at centre, reverse arms top left and Gibb's Hill lighthouse at centre. All are undated but annotation from printers '3.3.69', the decimal system introduced 6 February 1970. All serial number A/1 000000 and Elizabeth II wearing Queen Alexandra Kokoshnik's tiara at right and all with signatures of John Sharpe and C.W.Kempe
(Aspen p.79-84 for similar, Linzmayer BG B24ff for similar), the photographs have the imprint of Bradbury Wilkinson although the notes of the 1970 series were printed by Thomas De la Rue. A fascinating group which illustrate the developement for the new decimal series (8)
