4856840 Private Frederick Dawson, enlisted in the Leicestershire Regiment, 28.12.1932; served with the 1st Battalion in India and wounded in action whilst serving on the North West Frontier, India, 14.11.1939; served with the Leicestershire Regiment during the Second World War, taken Prisoner of War and held in Stalag 20B at Marienberg; discharged, 11.3.1946
