Boy 1st Class Edward John Turner, born Middlesex, September 1839; enlisted in the Royal Navy as Boy 2nd Class, serving in H.M.S. Crocodile, October 1854; transferred to H.M.S. Miranda as Boy 1st Class for service in the Crimea.
