Lieutenant-Commander James Roger Ball, joined the Royal Navy as Midshipman, 1.10.1951; promoted Sub-Lieutenant, 1.5.1952; Lieutenant, 1.10.1954; Lieutenant-Commander; 1.10.1962; retired, 3.9.1977; died in Portsmouth, 2.11.2010.
