Sultans of Bengal, Ghiyath al-Din Mahmud (AH 939-945; AD 1532-1538), "badr shahi" Tankas (3), Husainabad "939", "Da" (9)33, "Ha" 933, al-sultan bin al-sultan ghiyath al-dunya wa'l din abu'l muzaffar mahmud, rev. shah al-sultan bin husain shah al-sultan khallad allah mulkahu wa sultanahu, badr shahi in circle on both sides (G&G. B904, 914, 917), very fine to good very fine (3)
The "badr shahi" Tankas of Ghiyath al-Din Mahmud are, as an issue, more common that his other coin types. Oddly enough, they seem to have been struck during the reign of his elder brother, Nusrat, which implies that he had a share in the government of the sultanate. What the "Ha" and the "Da" represent is not known.
