Government of the Falkland Islands, £1, manuscript date 16 October 1899, serial number A/1 00001, uniface, blue on tan underprint, value in tablet at centre, and at low centre, left and right, ornate border, three manuscript signatures low right of Charles Hill, M.Muirfield and J.J.Felton
(Pick 3, GFI B4a, this is the Linzmayer plate note), annotated on reverse "from J.J.Felton to Mansell Esq Manager of National Bank of Argentina Port Gallegos", completely original, presentable very fine, extremely rare, and as a number one of 1899, this is the first Government note ever issued in the Falkland Islands! A truly historic find.
