Lot: 436

Henry II, 'Tealby' coinage, 1158-80, Pennies (2), 1.29g, class C1, Northampton, Ingeram, crowned facing bust holding sceptre to left, rev. +inge[ram:on:ham]tvn:,, cross potent with small cross in each angle (BNJ XX1 (1931-33), pl.VII, 10 - this coin; N.956; S.1339), large ragged flan, good fine / fine, rare, 1.29g, uncertain mint, class C2, +peres [on...] (N.9576; S.1339), chipped, good fine (2)

Pieres is noted by North for Northampton for classes A and possibly D, so an attribution of the second coin, clearly a C2, to Northampton seems unlikely.
