AH, good to huge margins all round, tied by a beautiful red Maltese Cross cancellation, on entire letter, dated 5 Feb. 1841, addressed to Durham, double ring Gateshead datestamp on reverse; vertical filing fold, well clear of the adhesive, and a trifle soiled. Early use of Plate X and extremely rare cancelled in red. Photo
