1895 (25 Feb.) letter from Cecil Rhodes to Miss Watson in Tasmania regarding a memorial to her brother, Trooper Henry George Watson of the Salisbury Horse, who was killed on 4 December 1893 when a member of the Shangani Patrol, accompanied by the damaged envelope that the letter was sent in, an original photograph sent by Watson to his sister, illustration of the original grave, unused postcards showing the four memorial panels and two other related items; a fascinating group.
