K.30967 Stoker 2nd Class Frederick Harold Comley served in the Royal Navy during the Great War in H.M.S. Indefatigable; killed in action at the Battle of Jutland, 31.5.1916, when Indefatigable suffered a number of direct hits to the magazine area and sank quickly with the loss of all but three of its 1,017 crew, and is commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial.
