Impregnable, June 1883; qualified as a diver, July 1889; advanced Chief Petty Officer, serving in H.M.S. Cambridge, 6.4.1901; awarded L.S.& G.C., 9.5.1901; discharged, 14.4.1911; joined the Royal Fleet Reserve, 15.10.1911; transferred to the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve; retired, 7.4.1923.
