3848 Private Joseph Rhodes, born Salford, Lancashire; served with the 1st Battalion King´s Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment) during the Great War on the Western Front from 17.3.1915; killed in action on the Western Front, 27.3.1915, and is buried in Wulvergum Churchyard, Belgium.
