7199 Private Charles Victor Lewis, born Gloucester; served with the 1st Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment during the Great War on the Western Front from 13.8.1914; transferred to the 2nd Battalion Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry; died of wounds on the Western Front, 1.8.1916, and is buried in St. Sever Military Cemetery, France.
