32781 Private William Thompson, born Weedon, Northampton, 1866; served for 12 years in the Lancashire Fusiliers prior to enlisting in the Sharpshooters, 6.3.1901; served with the 71st (Sharpshooters) Company, 18th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa, 28.3.1901 - 11.8.1902; discharged, 18.8.1902, after 13 years and 165 days with the Colours.
