4529 Private William Levi, born Battersea, Surrey; enlisted Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, 1894; served with the regiment in Ceylon, October 1896 - February 1899 and in South Africa, 11.2.1899 - 22.9.1902 (entitled to K.S.A.); during the Defence of Kimberley served under Captain T.H. O´Brien with "B" Company Detachment, 1st Battalion at Premier Mine; discharged 14.8.1906.
