14 Private Edward Boyett, born Catherington, near Petersfield, Hampshire, c.1782; enlisted in the 14th Light Dragoons, June 1804; served with the Regiment in the Peninsula for five and a half years, from the crossing of the Douro, May 1809, until after the Battle of Toulouse in 1814; and in America for eight months; discharged, October 1832, after 28 years and 124 days with the Colours.
