1840 (19 May) A161 hand-coloured addressed to William Mulready at the Royal Academy in London, cancelled by vermilion-red Maltese Cross, the envelope opened out display, the reverse bears a fine strike of Norwich despatch c.d.s. and three different London datestamps (20.5), the address side with additional large "L" in circle struck in red; some light soiling and damaged at left, otherwise fine and attractive. a very rare hand coloured example addressed to the designer
